Wow, what a unique place! The service was great especially for being there at most busiest time of SXWS festival. The vibes were great, and food from the queso to the meal was fabulous! Very on point and fresh.

I knew I would be back. This time I brought my husband and he tried the mole. I had to go back and try the torta. The torta was HUGE. I was only able to eat 1/4 of it. But I had it for a couple of meals after. It was sooo good. Next time I will share it wiht who I bring next time. The service was ok this time around because maybe it was busier than my last time. We love the ambiance. I feel like we are at a very nice restaurant in Mexico.

Came to South Congress to shop with out of town guests and stopped for lunch at Chapulin Cantina... all I can say is YUM! We were a party of 6 and coincidentally all ordered seafood dishes - which were bomb!! 3 people ordered the Mahi Mahi tacos, 1 person ordered the Salmon, 1 person ordered a seafood cocktail and I ordered the shrimp tostada. We all talked about how light the food was but also jam-packed with flavor.

We came here for a family get together, it was our second visit. We always love food, service and ambiance. I had the Aracherra Oaxaqueno, the huitlacoche was very interesting! My wife had the chile relleno. Both were great! Can't till my next visit!

Great experience stopping by for cocktails with friends! Service is overall very attentive. I highly recommend the Chapulin Colorado cocktail-it's absolutely perfect. Their complementary chips and dips are very tasty too. We just walked in on a Saturday afternoon and no wait/reservation needed.

Had a great lunch at Chapulin while in Austin for a work trip. This part of town is awesome with lots of food options, so I took to Yelp for advice. I'm so glad I did, because Chapulin was excellent! Great service, very good food, and vegetarian friendly options. My friend ordered a lemonade and talked for hours about how good it was (try it!). We had a great time, and I'd totally come back if I lived closer!

My wife's family visited town from Bryan/College Station and mentioned that they wanted Mexican or TexMex, so we started going down our list of favorites. All of the good spots got shot down in favor of Gabriela's in SouthPark Meadows and I said I would rather try something new in a touristy spot over that spot (I think the food there is simply not good). So, we easily set up a reservation for 9 people on a prime Friday night slot. I got nervous when they said they could get us in without a problem, thinking - "if they're any good, they wouldn't have that much space on a Friday night." I am happy to report that I was wrong and that the dinner gods were just looking out for us that night. The service was amazing and the woman waiting on us had so much energy. Two words for the cocktails - Hot Damn! I always get worried about a mezcal cocktail since very few can nail the right flavor balance, but they got it twice in a row. Everyone loved the sauces, drinks, and the entrees. I got the Pescado Frito Tacos and my wife tried out Mole for the first time ever with the Enmoladas de Pollo. I can't wait to go back!
